HTC Desire Launched and Ready for Update

April 8, 2010

T-Mobile recently started selling the HTC Desire to it’s customers, and there is apparently a glitch that is casing the company to prepare an over-the-air update.

According to the T-Mobile Support Forum:

“T-Mobile recently launched the HTC Desire and the phone has been very well received by our customers. We are aware that HTC is planning to release a new software update and we are currently working with them to provide an ‘over the air’ update for customers with an earlier version. The update will happen in the coming week and we’ll keep you posted on any developments as and when we have them.”

The HTC Desire is HTC’s latest Android  smartphone.  Similar to Google’s Nexus One, however  the HTC Desire has the same 3.7 inch Amoled display, but they have replaced the  trackball with a trackpad for easier navigation.  The HTC Desire gives you HTC’s Friend Stream, Flash 10.1 support, and runs at a blazing fast 1GHZ.

The HTC Desire is currently only available in Europe and will soon be available in Asia.  The US market will have to wait for now.
